PriceSpotting allowed users to quickly enter pricing information at a grocery, pharmacy or big box store.
The app was used to collect and analyze regional pricing data and trends and targeted users highly motivated to earn points for doing tasks. Additionally, it was a test platform for new features aimed at savings-focused consumers.
A metaphor around the ‘spot’ was created, influencing graphical elements such as the large button to enter prices, and language and messaging to users who became ‘pricespotters.’
